Sorry, anonymous, rant coming.

No room for compromise, my friend, when you’re exercising futile resistance against an epidemic of atrocious grammar and the cultural dumbing-down of the written word.   

Like any style trend, the “u r g8” prominence of no capital letters, no apostrophes, and no class will inevitably dissolve, and the next generation will assert its en vogue definition. 

But we grumpy traditionalists will ride out the wave of impermanence.  And when economy of language has been stymied by juvenilia and ironic hashtags, we will survive as educators to anyone interested in traditional proficiency, capacity for eloquence, and the quiet satisfaction of having expressed oneself well.
